Director and Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Communications at Synergy Capital. Leading capital formation, limited-partner engagement and global communications across Asia-focused private credit and private equity. Sustainability Lead. CFA Charterholder.
Synergy Capital, as publicly announced.
I lead investor relations, strategic communications and capital formation at Synergy Capital, an Asia-focused private-markets manager investing across private credit and private equity.
As Director and Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Communications, I lead fundraising, relationships with limited partners, and the firm's global investor and media communications. I work closely with leadership to align capital strategy with the firm's growth ambitions, articulating its investment strategy, portfolio development and market positioning for institutional investors, family offices and advisors.
I also serve as Sustainability Lead, supporting Synergy's responsible-investment agenda and sustainability-related engagement with investors and stakeholders.
Before moving into private markets, I spent more than two decades in financial journalism, including nearly nine years as a Senior Finance Journalist at Bloomberg News in the Middle East. I covered M&A, capital markets, sovereign wealth, banking and investment trends across the region. Earlier roles at Thomson Reuters, CNBC-TV18 and Zee built broad experience across fixed income, corporate finance and broadcast business journalism.
Strategy, portfolio and pipeline conversations, due-diligence coordination and a direct line to the investment team, with reporting that stays consistent from first meeting to final close.
A clear view of Asia-focused private credit and private equity: how the strategies work, where they sit in a portfolio, and the questions worth asking any manager.
Perspective on private markets, capital flows between the Gulf and Asia, and the limited-partner landscape, from someone who spent two decades on the other side of the interview.
Investor outreach and materials for the firm's third fund: $715 million first close, more than 70% of a $1 billion target, on a track record of $1.2 billion deployed across Funds I and II, nine exits above $850 million and a zero-credit-loss record.
Owns the firm's voice with investors and the press: the 2025 Annual Review and Outlook, announcement of the renewed UN PRI 5-star ESG rating with full module coverage, and placement of the founder's perspective in Bloomberg and The Economic Times.
Nearly nine years covering the region's financial landscape for a global audience: M&A, capital markets, sovereign wealth, banking and investment trends. Stories included Chinese firms jostling for Gulf oil wealth, Lunate's $5 billion raise, Middle East banks beating Wall Street on the GEMS Education loan, Qatar's post-World Cup bank losses and HSBC's Gulf wealth push.
Served on the newsroom's global advisory board, shaping reporting standards, identifying talent and mentoring the next generation of financial journalists.
Correspondent for Middle East fixed income from Dubai and, earlier, India debt correspondent in Mumbai: bonds, sukuk, loans and central-bank policy for the wire's global readership.
Early career in broadcast business journalism in India and the Middle East, where a Post Graduate Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism from IIMC Delhi met live markets.
